Paper Squares And Purple Stars – My Life As A Rave Outlaw
The year was 2007, and I was a troubled youth in search of direction and belonging. I was always something of an outcast, unable to conform to the cultural expectations of the society I was born into.
Then, one summer, everything changed. I went to a rave, and discovered an underground culture that finally accepted me – that was full of people just like me. I felt like I’d stumbled down a rabbit hole into a magical land of peace, love, and freedom. There really seemed to be some kind of magic in the air back in those days, because my whole life changed so fast. In just a few months, I went from a common hustler and nervous wallflower to a major promoter, organizing and supplying some of the most notorious underground events on the East Coast.
I found meaning in my life, and I even found love, but I also found a dark side – one that would threaten everything I’d gained. I ended up uniquely positioned to witness some of the wildest events the underworld has ever seen, riding some extreme highs and lows of my own along the way. Years later, I reflected on everything I’d seen and all I’d learned during those crazy times, and now, I am ready to tell my story.
